Mission

Anza Publishing is a firm that is committed to keeping as a key component of its operational strategy, the idea of protecting and extending the profound culture and priceless heritage of the Western World. Considering the importance of higher culture in civilised society, one would expect many publishers to have the same commitment. Yet Anza Publishing is unique in this regard. Over the last decade, the number of publishers committed to preserving our cultural heritage has dwindled. Although some publish what they call "the classics", they have no interest in systematically bringing back into print the thousands of marvelous titles that contain the wisdom, honesty and art, that educated and entertained previous generations.

The truth is that most of the great books previously published in the English language are not in print, nor are even they being considered by the large majority of publishers. There is a small "canon" of "classic" works that has arbitrarily been assembled, which is far from complete, and is not representative of the whole set of exceptional literature.

True to its mission, Anza Publishing produces for the public, libraries and universities, new editions of the most seriously undervalued out-of-print works. Anza selects the best material, using a highly discriminating search procedure, from the vast archive of previously published works. This material is enhanced and updated, often with a new preface and index. Finally, the book is made readily available, offered at a good price, with a distinctive, appealing cover. In this way, Anza hopes to give brilliant but neglected books a new life for a new generation of readers to enjoy.
